One at a Time:  The Life of Roma Lee Courvisier

In Loving Memory

November 8, 1928 – October 22, 2016

About the book:

“As I read One at a Time: The Life of Roma Lee Courvisier, I was moved and amazed how God used an ordinary little girl from the cotton fields of Texas to live an extraordinary life as His vessel, sharing the gospel, showing love and meeting the needs of people at home and all over the world. She has been a willing servant of God for more than sixty years, giving Him all the glory. This book allows you to travel with her and watch God at work through people serving in medical clinics, feeding the hungry, loving the unloved, worshiping together, building better facilities, and witnessing miracles in remote places. Roma Lee challenges you to follow God’s leading in whatever ministry He chooses to place you. Thank you, Roma Lee, for accepting the call God placed on your life and for being obedient to step out in faith and share Christ’s love to one at a time.” – Rev. Judy A. Hughes

“The story of Roma Lee Courvisier and Latin American missions is as challenging as it is interesting. Too often, the stories of ordinary people who spend their lives caring for the poor and forgotten, but who do not fit into traditional institutional structures and run in well-worn grooves, are never told, and we are the poorer for it. The author of this significant book is to be commended for writing such a story—and writing it well. As he wrote to the Romans, the apostle Paul quoted Isaiah, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.’ Roma Lee had beautiful ‘feet’ and a ‘heart’ as big as the world. Her passion for the poor and dispossessed is a passion we should all possess. What a special lady.”
