Angela was a student at the Roma Lee Courvisier School from 1998 til 2010 and is a member of the 1st graduating class. She teaches seventeen children in the 3-year-old pre-Kindergarten Class. The parents and the students all love her.  I hope you enjoy getting to know her through this brief interview.

Ken:  Why did you decide to be a teacher?

Angela:  I became a teacher to help form the next generation of my country. The education system here has always been neglected and is pretty poor. I want to change that. To change Peru we need to provide a better education starting with the littlest ones. I want to be part of that.

Ken: What did you like about your time as a student at the RLC school?

Angela:  I always appreciated the quality education I received academically as well as spiritually. The free lunched and breakfasts were good as well.

Ken: What memories do you have of the work camps and sponsors who came to the school while you were a student?

Angela: I will always remember my sponsor, Virginia, who came several times to visit me. I have always been impressed how she loved me even though she didn’t know me, and by the fact that the work campers spent their own money to get here to give to help.

Ken: What are the goals for your students this year?

Angela: We are going to be working on their motor skills and the basics such as colors, shapes etcetera.  Also, we will be working together with Bro Ken in establishing spiritual values using the Word of God.

Ken: How can sponsors help you in reaching your goals for the students?

Angela:  By sponsoring the children helps in purchasing the material we need to work with the students. Also praying for them and for me as well.

Ken:  What are your dreams and goals for the future?

Angela: I would like to have my own school one day or at least be a Principal.
